rivertext > I can't blame them for not wanting to be part of our next "Shock & Awe." They marched to the Castle entrance along the old checkerboard stone sidewalks.
rivertext > The Castle has no gates. I continued inside to find that the top of the Cathedral was illluminated by lights with a different color temperature than its base.
rivertext > The next day I took this shot looking back at the entrance from inside the Cathedral.
rivertext > In Prague's Jewish Quarter, the vestibule of the oldest synagogue in Europe. Construction began in 1260.
rivertext > As they were not allowed to expand their cemetary Jews were buried 9 deep. This hill was created as the dead were covered up with earth brought in from outside.
rivertext > The old tomb stones, however, were not buried, but were always set atop the new graves.
rivertext > This view from my last evening in Prague looks back from the St. Charles bridge towards the center of town rather than the Castle.
